Coalition for Childbirth Choices - A Birth Center is a provider with most major insurance companies . For those companies in which we are not a provider, we will work with patients to utilize their out of network benefits. No insurance? No Problem! We have payment plans.
$4499.00 includes prenatal care and birth, complete lab analysis (cystic fibrosis and other testing for hereditary diseases extra), one ultrasound and your OB/GYN physician consult with continuing collaborative care with our OB/GYN.
Our price at first glance may seem more than our competitors, but it includes the following services that are NOT INCLUDED at other birth centers:
1. Initial risk assessment and consult with board certified OB/GYN at A Birth Center, usually a $200-$300 additional fee at other facilities to visit their backup physician.
2. Unlimited consults with the OB/GYN during your care. Usual fee for this service is $100 per visit if you were seeing another physician.
3. Guaranteed physician backup at the closest hospital without further financial responsibility for physician care in case of a transfer/transport to hospital. This could be a potential savings for you of over $3000.00! We are the only birth center who can say that you would be attended in the hospital by a team you know without any additional out of pocket costs for a physician. (hospital charges are your responsibility)
4. Traditional Chinese Medicine including acupuncture, herbal and homeopathic care as needed with Janice Heller, Licensed Midwife and Licensed Acupuncture Physician.

A Birth Center is not responsible for any hospital or ambulance charges in the event of a transfer of care to the hospital before, during or after labor. Fees to specialists is the responsibility of the client and not A Birth Center
